What are ERW pipes?
ERW steel pipes are created with low or high frequency resistance which very important in this. With steel plates welded with the longitudinal welds the circular pipes are welded. Steel coils are used to make Stainless Steel 253 MA EFW Pipes: the coil is first uncoiled, then flattened, cut, and lastly made into a pipe shape by electrically connecting its two ends.
What are EFW pipe?
Electric fusion welding is a type of submerged arc welding. The process of combining metals by heating it between one or more consumable electrodes and the work piece is called as EFW pipe welding. The arc will also melt the metal and filler materials. This entire process does not need pressure, as the material filling will be done by electrodes.
Differences between ERW & EFW:
In Stainless Steel 304 EFW Pipes the welding is done by pressure without the need of metal fillers which are no additional components in the welding lines. To make meet the needs of welding line and temperature this method needs high frequency and form the weld line through the wringer.
In the case of stainless steel EFW pipes, the welding is accomplished by metal heating between one or more consumable electrodes and the work piece to join the metal. The arc will also melt the metal and filler materials. In this process does not require pressure, and the material filling will be done entirely by electrodes. This process is equivalent to submerged arc welding, but it is protected by inert gas, making it far more effective.
Stainless Steel ERW Pipe Characteristics:
The ERW manufacturing method is simple, and its industrial output is quite good. Furthermore, this type of pipe comes in a range of specifications and requires minimal equipment investment. The strength of these pipes, however, is lower than that of seamless steel pipe.
In growing times the stainless steel production processes and puts advancement and inspection in welding technologies and quality has been steadily improving with high quality. Seamless steel pipe has been phased out as welding pipe standards have increased in an increasing number of areas.
