The current rate of stainless steel 304 pipes in India for sourcing ranges from ₹195 to ₹250 per kg, depending on nominal bore, wall thickness and schedule. Sizes ranging from 1/2” to 3” are mostly steady in the market around ₹185 and ₹280 per kg per kg and are sold under Schedule 40S, whereas the ones larger than 12” are on the rise towards ₹246 to ₹250 per kg due to their additional wall thickness and processing. Also, the rate has some variations from city to city, with ₹203 and ₹215 per kg in markets like Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Lucknow. Six factors determine what a buyer pays per kg for SS 304 pipe.
