SMO 254 tubes are made from the austenitic grade of stainless steel which provides these tubes with high resistance ability. The tubes are having the maximum resistance to pitting as well as crevice corrosion resistance. These SMO 254 Tubes have a higher composition of the alloying elements like nitrogen, molybdenum, nickel, and chromium. The composition of SMO 254 Tubes is such that it provides good use in high chloride environments. Other than this, these SMO 254 tube are used in the halide containing environments like seawater. Compared to the standard austenitic grades, SMO 254 Tubes are significantly stronger.
These SMO 254 Tubes are mostly used for those applications where a lot of strength and flexibility is required. There are many industries where these SMO 254 Tubes perform very well.
