317 is a nickel and chromium austenitic stainless steel. It is known for its high strength at high temperatures and excellent resistance to general and pitting corrosion. It also exhibits excellent resistance to sulfuric acid concentrations up to 5 per cent at temperatures up to 120degF.
Stainless Steel 317L welded pipes are a type of stainless steel pipe available in various sizes and grades. This alloy features good corrosion resistance and is nonmagnetic. It can withstand high concentrations of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other acids. Stainless Steel 317L Welded Pipes are manufactured with a chemical composition designed to enhance the material’s corrosion and oxidation resistance. It also contains molybdenum, making it suitable for aqueous environments. The material’s low carbon content enhances its creep-rupture and corrosion resistance properties. Furthermore, 317L tubing is nonmagnetic in the annealed condition, which makes it easy to weld.
