Stainless Steel 317 Plates are manufactured in cold-rolled, hot-rolled, and pickled forms. The alloy contains nickel, chromium, carbon, manganese, and nitrogen and is a highly malleable material with a minimum yield strength of 205MPa. The low carbon content of 317L allows welding to be done easily and reduces intergranular corrosion caused by chromium carbide precipitation along the grain boundaries.
