Features of Hastelloy C276 Plates
Hastelloy C276 plates are highly resistant to a wide range of corrosive materials, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and chlorides. They can withstand high temperatures up to 1900°F and exhibit good resistance to oxidation, pitting, and crevice corrosion. The plates are durable, robust, and have an excellent low-temperature impact strength. Hastelloy C276 plates can be easily welded, machined, and fabricated. They have good thermal stability and are resistant to stress-related cracking in harsh environments. Hastelloy C276 Plates, Inconel 625 Plates and many more grades are also available.
Chemical Composition of Hastelloy C276 Plates
The chemical composition of Hastelloy C276 plates includes nickel, molybdenum, chromium, iron, cobalt, tungsten, and a trace amount of carbon, silicon, and manganese. The nickel content ranges from 57% to 67%, while molybdenum and chromium contribute 15-17% and 14.5-16.5%, respectively. The rest of the elements like iron, cobalt, and tungsten are present in smaller amounts. The high concentration of nickel makes Hastelloy C276 plates highly resistant to corrosion. Different types of products are available, such as Super Duplex Steel S32750 Pipes, Duplex Steel S31803 EFW Pipes, etc.
Applications of Hastelloy C276 Plates
Hastelloy C276 plates are commonly used in chemical processing, petrochemical, and power generation industries. They are widely used for handling highly corrosive acids, such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Hastelloy C276 plates are used in the production of chemical reactors, heat exchangers, pipelines, valves, fittings, and pumps. The plates are also used in the fabrication of flue gas desulfurization systems, acid production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
