Inconel 601 plates are composed of 61% nickel, 23% chromium, and 14% iron. These elements give the alloy its unique properties. Inconel 601 Plates are used in a variety of high-temperature applications such as gas turbine components, furnace muffles, & chemical processing equipment. They offer excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization & nitridation.
Inconel 601 Plates have a density of 8.11 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1370-1411 °C (2500-2571 °F). They have a thermal conductivity of 10.8 W/m·K (75 BTU·in/ft²·h·°F) and a specific heat capacity of 0.45 J/g·K (0.11 BTU/lb·°F). Inconel 601 Plates also have high tensile strength & good creep-rupture properties at elevated temperatures.
The typical hardness of Inconel 601 Plates ranges from 160-200 Brinell hardness.
