Chemical Resistance
Inconel 825 is renowned for its excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation in various environments such as acids, alkalis, and seawater. The alloy contains high concentrations of chromium, molybdenum, and copper which provide superior resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting. Inconel 825 tubes can be used in chemical processing industries for applications such as heat exchangers, piping systems, and reaction vessels to handle aggressive chemical environments with ease. Hastelloy C22 Tubes, Incoloy 800HT Tubes and many more grades are also available.
Heat Resistance
Inconel 825 tubes are designed to withstand high-temperature environments, up to 550°C. The alloy features a nickel-iron-chromium matrix which provides excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. This makes it ideal for use in industries that involve high temperatures such as oil and gas and power generation. Other applications for Inconel 825 tubes include heat exchangers, furnaces, and gas turbines. Different types of products are available, such as Super Duplex Steel Zeron 100 Welded Tubes, Duplex Steel S31803 Plates, etc.
Mechanical Properties
Inconel 825 has outstanding mechanical properties making it ideal for use in heavy-duty industries. The alloy is resistant to creep and stress-rupture in high-temperature environments. It also has excellent tensile strength, hardness, and impact strength. This makes it suitable for use in heavy machinery, offshore rigs, and marine systems. The high strength of Inconel 825 tubes ensures they can withstand high stress and strain without losing shape or integrity.
Weldability
Inconel 825 has excellent weldability characteristics, and it can be welded by both automatic and manual methods. The welding process of Inconel 825 tubes can be carried out by Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and submerged arc welding (SAW). Welding Inconel 825 tubes ensures that they fit in custom configurations and are suitable for use in tight spaces.
