Inconel 718 pipes are used in a variety of high-temperature applications, such as gas turbines, jet engines & nuclear reactors. They are also used in the oil and gas industry, chemical processing, & aerospace applications.
Inconel 718 pipes have excellent mechanical properties, including high tensile strength, good fatigue strength & resistance to corrosion and oxidation. They also have good weldability & can be easily fabricated into complex shapes.
Inconel 718 pipes can withstand high temperatures up to 1300°F (704°C) in continuous service and up to 1800°F (982°C) in intermittent service. However, their maximum temperature limits depend on factors such as the environment, pressure & duration of exposure.
Inconel 718 pipes can be fabricated using conventional methods such as hot and cold working, forging & machining. Welding methods such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) & gas metal arc welding (GMAW) can also be used to join Inconel 718 pipes.
Inconel 718 pipes should be used in environments that are compatible with their properties, such as high-temperature, corrosive & oxidative environments. Proper handling & fabrication methods should also be followed to ensure optimal performance & safety.
