Lean austenitic stainless steel 253 MA Tubes have exceptional oxidation resistance and excellent strength. 253 MA tubes maintain their heat resistant capabilities by advanced control of micro alloy additions. A superior oxidation resistance up to 2000°F can be achieved because of the use of rare earth metals in combination with silicon. Creep rupture strength equivalent to that of nickel base alloys is produced by a combination of nitrogen, carbon, and a dispersion of rare earth and alkali metal oxides. Stainless Steel 253MA alloy contains less amount of nickel, thus making it more resistant in reducing in sulphide atmospheres. The presence of high nitrogen, silicon, and chromium contents gives our Stainless Steel UNS S30815 Tubes good oxide stability, strength in high elevated temperature, and excellent resistance to sigma phase precipitation. Stainless Steel 253 MA Tubes offers excellent toughness even down to cryogenic temperature. The presence of high chromium and nitrogen contents gives the Stainless Steel-253MA Tubes the ability to survive in pitting resistance, resistance to carburization, and chlorination.
